FAQ
How does the tidying up process take?
That depends on you! If you have the time to complete the four 2-hour sessions in a week then we can complete
the process in one week. If you only have the weekends, we can complete it in four weeks. However, it is
important that this process is completed as quickly as possible to facilitate a positive reset in your mental
state.
I would like to declutter my home but I am afraid of the process
Our goal is to eliminate the stress of re-organising your belongings and for you to take back control
of your living space so that it can be used to its full potential. As you discard things, you will master
the process of ‘letting go’, which is an important skill that can be transferred to every other aspect of
your life. From here, your mind can reset and you can move on with a new chapter.
Does decluttering mean throwing everything away?
Not necessarily, we aim to help you recognise what you need and what you don’t. We all have emotional connections
to our belongings and we understand the difficulties one may have in letting go. But once we can achieve that,
we can create an open space that positively influences your everyday life.
Why should I declutter?
When you keep an item that is attached to the past or you become afraid that you may need it in the future,
you are holding on to negative energy that affects the space you live in as well as your own. When you
discard these items, you will feel lighter and more present. And in giving these items away, we transform
what it was a negative feeling into an opportunity to spark joy to someone else!
Can my kids learn to fold their clothes?
Yes, of course! I recommend starting to teach kids at age 4.
What is conscious shopping?
Conscious shopping is about making mindful choices about the things that we buy and how they have an
impact on the environment. For me, it is not about how much you can afford, it is about how much the
Earth can afford. So, by being aware of your day-to-day routine of consumption, we can work together
to help create a sustainable world.
What is the difference between Interior Decorator, Interior Designer and Interior Architect?
An Interior Decorator follows styles and trends or can create their own style, to decorate a space
from chosen furnishings from suppliers.
An Interior Designer has studied fine art and can create a design concept without attaching
themselves to any style, trend or fashion. They can design their own furniture, fixtures and finishes to
create a desired look and function for interior spaces.
An Interior Architect balances the art and science of interior space to build a space. They
incorporate the technical aspects of a space to create plans for plumbing, electrical, acoustics,
heating and lighting.
What if I am not happy with the final result?
I aim to be approachable and create clear communication with my clients at all times. I send my clients a
summary after every meeting, along with the next steps. I value clarity and transparency in my work so
there are no surprises at the end!
